Peaches "Set It Off" (UK import)

Peaches! In a video! With a fab remix! For only £2! baaaaarrrrrgain.

Peaches "The Teaches of Peaches" (German import)

Otherwise known as The Dirtiest Canadian Ever. She's responsible for a huge amount of unplanned pregnancies all across Europe, I'm sure, and a fair number of chlamydia cases. But you can't NOT get it on when you're listening to stuff like 'AA XXX', 'Fuck the Pain Away', 'Diddle My Skiddle', or 'Hot Rod'. It's all in the confidence, girls!

Pearl Jam "Ten"

Definitely their best album. Made before they got too New-Age (Their politics, not their music). The forefathers of Alternative.

Pearl Jam "Vitalogy"

Pretty good. Ther are some good songs on here, But alot are crap, too.

Pepe Deluxe "Before You Leave" (UK import)

I'd had the mp3s as 'Woman in Blue' and I'd heard the song *everywhere*, so I snatched this up the week it came out so it was still cheap. Lucky, that, because the title track is the only good bit, since the remixes are pointless.

Pernice Brothers "7:30" (UK promo)

I'd had this song on mp3 also, and came across the promo in an office pile. This is what singer/songwriter music shlould be, really...

Pet "Pet"

Being on Tori's label, I knew they had to be good... Man, can that chick scream (and she can sing, as well...)!

Pet Shop Boys "Release" (UK promo)

I've never really gotten into the Pet Shop Boys (hell, I saw Morcheeba over them at Glasto 2000), but when this was played in the office, I really understood it - comforting, amusing, and sligtly nostalgic. Which was nice.

Phantom of the Opera

First cd I ever owned. I had it memorized in two weeks. NR

Pigface "Gub" (Canadian import)

The Canadian import (if you can call it that)... I got it for the original 'Suck' and that's about the only good song on it. Although I will keep it forever because it is a collector's item. Man cannot live by bass and drum machine alone.

Placebo "B-Sides & Rarities" (homemade)

I took all the best b-sides and live tracks and put them into one space for me to enjoy. HM

Placebo "Black Market Music"

It was excruciating to wait for the US release, but it contained both their cover of Depeche Mode's 'I Feel You' and their duet with David Bowie. I got this album about the same time as Idlewild's, and it's forever entwined with it. The only low point for me is the unfortunate rapping. *tsk tsk*

Placebo "Placebo" (signed)

(signed by Brian Molko and Steve Hewitt!!) I love these guys. '36 Degrees', 'Nancy Boy', 'Bruise Pristine', all great.

Placebo "Pure Morning" CD1 (UK Import)

Their first new material in a long time, I had to import this to hear the song at all. and I'm glad I did. =) the b-side sung in french is a nice touch, too.

Placebo "The Bitter End" (EU promo)

I was pleasantly surprised by the lead-in single from their new album. I didn't hate "Black Market Music", but I think we all were quietly hoping for a return to form. This gives us hope, but will the rest of the album comply?

Placebo "Without You I'm Nothing" (UK Import)

Had to import the second album. Just as great as the first. I love 'You Don't Care About Us', 'Allergic (To Thoughts of Mother Earth'), and 'Scared of Girls'. Now I just hope they don't become popular in the US. eww. US. icky.

Playlist "HMV Sampler March 2002" (UK promo)

Got this free when I bought Mull HIstorical Society's album. It's got songs from Cooper Temple Clause (gag), Vex Red (confusion), MHS (yay!), Haven (yay!), Hives (whoopee!), and Aim (a new discovery). Not too bad for free.

Pop Will Eat Itself "Another Man's Rhubarb" (promo)

I nearly spat out my soda when I heard the first line! I can definitely see Richard March's early influence here. go Bentleys, go!

Porno for Pyros

"Pets" rules! the rest are pretty nondescript, but I haven't listened to it in a while.

Portishead "An Evening With..." (bootleg)

Since they haven't released an official recordning of the Roseland Ballroom concert, I was forced to get the next best thing: a soundboard recording. excellent quality of a first rate performance.

Portishead "Cowboys" 12" vinyl (Ltd Ed 7500 promo)

I really don't know much about it, but I got lucky, and the price was right. gotta love those random experiences. yee ha. NR

Portishead "Dummy"

I've had this on tape for quite some time, and I played it so hard that I needed to replace it with the cd. The best cd in years. Never thought I'd loves blues or trip-hop... =)

Portishead "Glory Times" (Canadian-only)

Very good value, it has the best remixes (ie: all) from Sour Times and Glory Box. And it has Theme From to Kill a Dead Man. (2cds)

Portishead "PNYC"

I got the Official live album, even though I already have the concert on a bootleg, because of the new versions of Sour Times and Roads, and because I feel the need to support the band and have the real release...

Portishead "Portishead"

Their follow-up. Still got the groovy-blues going on, but with an overall spookier, gloomier tone, which suits me well. A friend said it best with "...that cd gives me nightmares..." But with a classy grace that is lost on most.

Prick "Prick" (promo)

My brother brought this home in 1995. I saw them open for NIN and David Bowie the same year. 6 years later, I buy the album on a bargain rack. A little late, but at least I got there in the end.

Primal Scream "Evil Heat" (UK promo)

Such a shame the album didn't live up to Miss Lucifer's promise, really. 'A Deep Hit of Morning Sun' takes my hopes sky high, but that's as far as the album delivers for me. Very disappointing.

Primal Scream "Miss Lucifer" (UK promo)

This was born on XTRMNTR's rage and Screamadelica's dance sense. A bastard child, but a prodigy nonetheless.

Primal Scream "Screamadelica" (UK Import)

I can't believe I lived all these years without it. It's a classic. 'Movin On Up', 'Higher Than the Sun', 'Come Together', and 'Loaded' have been indie staples since the dawn of time (or at least 1991).

Primal Scream "War Pigs" (Austrian Import)

This is worth so much money, just because someone couldn't make up their mind. See, 'Swastika Eyes' was titled 'War Pigs' for only a week or so before they changed it, so only a handful of copies have the original title. And mine is one of them.

Primal Scream "XTRMNTR" (UK Import)

Revolutionary. Essential. Blinding. Ugly. Angry. Vitriolic. All of these are XTRMNTR. Oh, and Fucking Brilliant.

Propellerheads "Bang On"

Next best thing to deckanddrumsandrockandroll, I picked this up for $3 new, incredibly enough. Great intelligent dance music, but you've got to love a song called "Props Got Mo Skills". oh yeahhhh.

Propellerheads "Extended Play EP" (UK import)

Has two versions of 'Crash', and a handful of good remixes. But the question remains, Will there be mo Props?

Pulp "A Little Soul" cd1

I just had to get 'Cocaine Socialism'. Down with The Man for not letting them put it on the album.

Pulp "Countdown: 1992-1983"

All the best of old Pulp here, and it prevents my spending my life savings on their back catalogue. relief! Little Girl (with Blue Eyes) justifies this album on its own...

Pulp "Different Class"

Picked it up for $8 used, very luckily. Jarvis Cocker is such a dirty, dirty man. But you've got to love him for it. This is such a classic album for stuff like Pencil Skirt, Common People, Disco 2000, and Sorted For E's And Wizz.

Pulp "Disco 2000" cd1

'Ansaphone' is one of their best b-sides ever. damn catchy.

Pulp "Help the Aged"

It's horrible the way the James Bond people chose *shudder* Sheryl Crow over Pulp. grrr. And I love Laughing Boy as well. poobah.

Pulp "His 'N' Hers" (UK import)

No 'Razzmatazz', but it's got all the other classics, namely 'Do You Remember the First Time?'.

Pulp "It"

Amazing to find in the US, and even more amazing that a debut album from '81(?) is this good. "Love, Love" and "My Lighthouse" are infectious.

Pulp "Mis-shapes" (UK import)

Ahh, the days before the chart regulations! Bliss to have 4 tracks on a single! And bliss to have a sewing pattern pullout inside!

Pulp "The Sisters EP" (UK import)

These songs are just as great as the WRONG cover art (only Pulp could get away with it...). I love how Your Sister's Clothes continues the story of the sisters in Babies. =) "Try it, you might like it. But you might schmmuuuudge your lipstick..."

Pulp "This is Hardcore" (Canadian Import)

dirty, dirty, dirty. And I luuurve it. I knew just about every song on here before I got it, whether from friends, TFC 98, or a wee bit of television exposure. And I put my vote in for the girl on the cover being dead, and not having sex. (you've got to see it to believe it)

Punk Rock Baby (UK import)

To purists, yes, it's probably wrong. But for everyone else, it's good fun and mkore than a little funny to hear lullaby versions of 'Teenage Kicks' and 'Ever Fall in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)
