The Hidden Cameras

June 02, 2003

Third time and they were the best yet - they brought the full group, so the usual players plus 5 violinists, an oboe, a cello, a guy to handle an overhead projector (ha!), a bells & tamborine girl, and *wait for it* THE STRIPPING BALACLAVA DANCERS!!! One on either side of the stage for the upbeat songs, and they were truly glorious. The setlist was incredible - most of The Smell Of Our Own (starting off with "Golden Streams" and "The Man That I Am With My Man" got rid of any squeamish folk that may have wandered in!), a few b-sides and Ecco Homo tracks, and even "Music is My Boyfriend", which apparently is only released on a cdr that Joel burns on request. It was an absolutely unbelievably WOW night.
