1 Kurzweil Synthesizer
1 electromagnetic waveform monitor
1 infrared sensor array

I regret the tardiness of this report. However, there have been some unforseen complications involving Agent Mulder's re-enactment.
While setting up the observation equipment, neither Agent Mulder nor Christopher Vrenna took into account the somewhat overtaxed electical system within the house. In their defense, I can honestly say that I did not expect that the EMF monitor would push it over the edge.
While I was in the kitchen with Ms. Amos, overseeing her preparation of the chicken, Agent Mulder and Mr. Vrenna were finalizing the connections between the EMF monitor, the infrared sensor, and the video camera. Reznor had resumed work in his studio after the briefing on the re-enactment.
(Note: Reznor's behaviour continues to disturb me. He is quiet and uncommunicative, and appears to be experiencing a bout of clinical depression. During the two days we have been here, he has not slept, nor ate more than one full meal. Agent Mulder assures me he is fine, but I have my doubts.)
Ms. Amos, who seems to be a relatively competent cook, was stuffing the chicken when we first detected the odour of electrical smoke, followed by muffled shouting from the dining room, where the detection equipment was being set up. Leaving Ms. Amos in the kitchen, I went to investigate. I found Agent Mulder and Mr. Vrenna attempting to extinguish a fire that had broken out in the connections between the sensor array and the wall outlet. Agent Mulder's suit jacket did not seem to be helping the fire much, and while I was returning to the kitchen to look for a fire extinguisher and the fuse box, Reznor began shouting from the living room. While Ms. Amos attended to the electrical fire with a box of baking soda, I managed to find the breaker panel and shut off the main circuit to the house.
I returned to the dining room to find Agent Mulder standing over the remains of the sensing equipment and his now-destroyed suit jacket. Ms. Amos had succeded in extinguishing the fire, although the equipment was a total loss. Mr. Vrenna's cry of pain from the living room, and the sound of breaking glass, caused me to approach carefully.
I found Reznor hurling beer bottles at Vrenna, cursing him for the smoking
Macintosh and melted synthesizer. He had, even in the darkness, managed to
strike Vrenna at least once, and Vrenna was bleeding copiously from a
4-cm.laceration on his scalp. I was able to calm Reznor enough to prevent
him from throwing anything else, and attended to Vrennas wound while
Agent Mulder and Ms.Amos restrained Reznor.
(Note: Christopher Vrenna's head wound, while not serious, required 3
stitches to close.)
Reznor, in a state of utter despair, curled around his dog on the floor
and refused to move. He has lost approximately six months of work in the
electrical fire. After an hour, Ms. Amos managed to coax him into the
bedroom, where I administered a sedative.
(Note: Because the sedative was given by injection, and because of
Reznor's near-catatonic state, I was able to collect a small amount of his
blood for comparison analysis)
When I returned to the kitchen to restore electricity, I found the chicken dismembered on the counter. There was no sign of intrusion.
